Terms of service
Last updated 3 August 2026. Using this site means accepting what follows. It is short, and we have tried to keep it readable.
1. What the service is
Telegram Downloader converts a link to a public Telegram post into a direct download link for the media attached to that post. We are a technical intermediary. We do not host, store, index or distribute files; every download streams from Telegram's own infrastructure.
2. What you are responsible for
You are responsible for the legality of what you download and what you do with it afterwards. By using the service you confirm that:
- You have the right to download the file in question, or the content is in the public domain or otherwise freely usable;
- You will not use the service to obtain material that is illegal where you live;
- You will not redistribute copyrighted material you do not have permission to redistribute;
- You will not attempt to access private content or circumvent restrictions set by channel owners.
3. Acceptable use
The service is free and its capacity is finite. Please do not:
- Send automated or bulk requests, or attempt to use the endpoint as an unofficial API;
- Scrape, mirror or resell the service;
- Attempt to bypass rate limiting, including by rotating addresses;
- Interfere with the service's operation or security.
Rate limits are enforced automatically. Sustained abuse results in a permanent block.
4. Restrictions we apply
We decline APK files, for the security reasons explained on the home page. We do not process private content or content from channels with Telegram's saving restriction enabled. We may block specific channels following credible abuse or infringement reports.
5. Availability
The service is provided as-is with no uptime guarantee. It depends on Telegram's API, which we do not control and which occasionally fails. Generated links expire after 24 hours. We may change or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
6. Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this service, including loss of data, damage from downloaded files, or consequences of your use of downloaded content. You download at your own risk and should scan anything executable before running it.
We do not review file contents and make no representation about their safety, accuracy or legality.
7. Copyright
We respect intellectual property. Since we host nothing, the effective route for infringing material is Telegram directly at [email protected]. We will nonetheless block a specific channel from this service on a credible report, see the contact page.
8. Relationship to Telegram
This is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Telegram FZ-LLC or Telegram Messenger Inc. in any way. Telegram is a trademark of its respective owner.
9. Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top reflects the current version, and continuing to use the service after a change constitutes acceptance.
